Here are a few more examples of our installation handywork, and we hope that they inspire some thought and ideas as to what can be achieved with a little bit of imagination.
BMW M3
The roof of a 2 door BMW M3 does not allow much room for a monitor. That was, until the Becker system came along, which is simply an installers dream to fit. The monitor has a very small footprint and simply folds up when not in use. It also houses the transmitter for the cordless headphones. At the other end of the data cable from this is the DVD player that is hidden in the boot, and the whole system operates on a single remote control
Hyundai XG30 2002
We were asked to install a Satellite Navigation system into this 2002 Hyundai XG30. The criteria we were given, was that it had to be either very easy to remove, or to be installed completely out of sight for security. The screen was not to be as important as the voice guidance, which was why this VDO Dayton MS3000 monochrome system was chosen. We decided to remove the ashtray from the centre console, and construct a new panel in which the screen could be recessed. The cover can then be closed when the system is not in use.
Mercedes Benz
The Chauffeur driving this Mercedes wanted both a Satellite Navigation system for obvious reasons, but also required a good TV Tuner, so that whilst he was parked up and waiting for his corporate clients, he could pass the time of day (Or Night) by watching television.
The Clarion VRX928RVD and NAX9500 were chosen for this.
Renault Espace 2001

The Headrests are fairly substantial on the Renault Espace, so we were able to take full advantage of the NecVox Mobile TV range of 5.6" colour monitors, that are an absolute dream to install.
The installation difficulties however, are not as you might think with the headrests, but with the supplementry restraints on the seats, in the form of Airbags and seat belt tensioners.
If you plan to tackle this sort if install yourself, make sure that you seek professional advice before
tampering with any of the pyrotechnics.

In order to maximise the load space of the vehicle, a Sony PS/2 was discreetly mounted within the rear quarter panel.
Access to the unit is very good through the removable panel and all of the controls for the PS/2 are done via remote control.

When installing Satellite Navigation screens, it is important to find a location that is both easy to view, and can be seen without taking your eyes off the road. If it will physically fit, we have found that this location is one of the easiest to use, and judging by the feedback from our customers, they also agree!
