Kia YN CDP Without BT Radio Code & Decoding Service

Kia YN CDP Without BT
96160-1P000
Continental

As originally fitted to the :

Kia Venga 2010 > 2012

This radio is designed to fit Kia vehicles that utilize a separate display on the dashboard. It cannot be used in other vehicles that do not have this separate display fitted.

Please note that code entry is only possible with the ignition switched on, and in the order shown. If the display continually shows "SECURITY CODE SET LOCKED" then the unit may be codelocked and will need to be left switched on up for up to two hours to reset before another code entry attempt is possible. If it does not reset after this time, then all of your code entry attempts may have been used up, and the unit will need to be sent to us to be decoded and reset.

If you have lost your radio code, we can decode and reset this radio, but you will need to send the unit to our workshop for this work to be carried out. Approx turnaround time is 48 hours from receipt to dispatch.

At present, we have very little other information on our database regarding this stereo. We would gratefully welcome any extracts that you could send us from either the instruction or installation manuals so that we may update our records and help others with any technical assistance.

This radio is bolted in place by four bolts, and these will be hidden beneath the dashboard trim. Removal of the trim will depend largely on the vehicle it is fitted to, but should not present any real problems. Please consult your service manual if you are unsure how to go about this. Once the four bolts that secure the radio frame have been removed, the stereo will come out in a rather large lump and can then be unplugged.

Please Note: Penalty Timer

Depending on how many incorrect attempts you have had in entering the code, it is not uncommon for the vehicle to also retain a penalty timer as well. Unless you are bringing the vehicle down to us, then obviously we can only reset and decode the radio if you send that to us. If when we return the radio, the system still indicates that it is locked, then you will need to leave the ignition on and the engine running for anything up to two hours for the vehicle timer to reset (we suggest going for a long drive). When it does, simply enter the new code that we have sent with the radio and all will be well.
