Sending us a Unit: What to do Next
Please remember that it is very important to order the correct Services from our website, as this will automatically book the Item on to our system and will ensure that your unit gets turned around much quicker.
1)
Click on the relavent Item on our website, and then purchase the Decode or Repair by pressing the ADD TO CART button and proceed to the Checkout. If you are sending multiple Unit`s, please make sure that you order multiple items where necessary as this will automatically calculate a price for return delivery back to you. For our Oversea`s and (Over Water!) Customers, the shipping price will be automatically adjusted at the Checkout dependant on your location. We will only ship via our own approved Secure Carriers. Please contact us if a delivery solution is not shown for your Country.
2)
The final checkout page will also have a box for you to include any fault details or special instructions where necessary. If you are sending a faulty radio for repair, please include as much information as you can relating to the fault. If your are sending a Dashboard to be recalibrated, please indicate the mileage you would like shown.
3)
After you have selected a payment method at Checkout (Paypal, Credit/Debit Cards etc), an invoice will appear on screen and a copy will also be sent automatically by email. For those of you wishing to pay in € Euro`s, this facility is currently only available via the PayPal website. (The paypal website can also be used even if you do not have a PayPal account). Our address is shown at the top of the invoice, and we do ask that you also print off a copy of this invoice and enclose it with your radio.
4)
For those radios that require complex programming to a specific vehicle, (Usually Vauxhall) we may have also indicated that we require a Copy of your V5 Vehicle Registration document to be sent. In order for us to program your radio as plug and play, we require a good quality photocopy (Not a Photograph) of the inside page your V5 document with all the vehicle details on it. We then scan this document and program your radio from it. If you are not in possession of this document, then you will need to apply to DVLA for it. For obvious reasons, please do not send the original document.
5)
Please ensure that your Unit it is safely wrapped in loads of Bubble Wrap, or similar, placed in a sturdy box and then post it to us by some means that not only has a trackable number but also requires a signature when delivered at our end. If you do not have your own Courier facilities, then the Post Office can often provide a number of solutions. Recorded or Special Delivery allows you to add extra insurance should you wish, but can be expensive if the parcel exceeds 2Kg. If your parcel is over this weight, ask the Post Office for Parcelforce 48 as can often be much cheaper. They will seldom offer this service without you asking for it. Please don't get conned into Special Delivery with Timed options, it costs a fortune and we will not decode it any faster. Due to the increasing number of lost or damaged parcels we see here, we would strongly advise against the use of some of the budget couriers such as MyHermes, Evri or Yodel.
6)
We will then return your unit back to you, once we have finished
F.A.Q`s: Shipping Costs
Shipping costs will of course vary depending on weight and destination, and our courier charges are calculated automatically at checkout. As a rough indication, these following prices are based upon a 2.5Kg parcel, which we would consider to be quite a heavy radio, or a Double Din Navigation unit.
Zone 1: - £ 14.00
Mainland UK
Zone 2: - £ 24.50
Scottish Highlands
Zone 3: - £ 35.00
Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, Scilly Isles
Important Information: International Shipping (Inc E.U. & N.I.)
As of January 1st 2021, shipping Radio's around the World has become a lot more complicated. It is no longer possible to send us a repair without a mountain of paperwork, and if any of the Customs Declarations are filled out incorrectly, then it means that any Radio entering the UK may mistakenly be subjected to Import Duty and VAT. There are some major steps and hurdles that we are trying to follow in order to register to prevent this from happening, but the risks and costs involved are proving to be no longer viable at this particular moment in time.
It is therefore with deep regret that we have now suspended all International Shipping, including Europe for the forseeable future. Sadly, this now also includes our close friends in Northern Ireland (Who thanks to the EU now require over 50 pages of supporting documentation) as the trade barriers are just prohibitive for returning any Radio's back to you.
Our fully Automated services will remain operational to the World, but our in house repair services are now strictly UK only. I hope that we will re-evaluate this one day, but it is unlikely to be any time soon.
